This article will guide you through creating a new user account and setting it’s password.


  1. Select Practice from the top menu bar.
  2. Select Maintenance Manager from the sub menu.
  1. Select the Setup tab.
  2. Then select the User Codes icon.
  1. Select the Plus Folder icon to create a new user.
  2. Fill in the new user form:
    Login ID:
  3. Select the Password button.
  1. Enter a new password and then re-enter the same password below.
  2. Select the OK button in the top right corner.
  1. Select the Check-mark Folder icon to save the new user account.

Copy over settings from an existing clinical or admin user code depending on the new user codes’ function.

  1. Select the Copy Entry icon
  2. From the User to Copy FROM table, select the existing user code (clinical or admin)
  3. In the User(s) to Copy TO table, select the new user code.
  4. Select the settings which need to be copied
  5. Copy

If the new user code is for Admin purposes and will be used for checking patients out, from each operatory:

  1. Select the log in ID at the bottom if the screen
  2. Select Options in the Communicator
  3. Under Chart Check out Message, check the new user code’s box
  4. OK
