The Info Manager comes preloaded with a set of pre-defined reports.
These are automatically assigned to each Category of a Tab.
These pre-defined reports are designed to help you understand the type of information any given tab and category specialize in.
Below we see an image of the Appointment Tab and Appointments Category defaults.
The columns included are immediately useful, generating information about the appointment time, date, and other details.
Editing pre-defined reports:
The default reports lend themselves well to simple, quick filters. If you wanted to only see planned appointments, for example:
Our report will now only return planned status appointments.
It’s not quite perfect yet. Without a date filter applied the program searches the entire database for results. We would probably want to specify a date range to search within instead.
You can see that the Info Manager generates results under all the active columns, even if they have not been filtered.
This allows you to report on specific items without needing to specify the exact value. A Treatment Total column, for example, will populate the total cost for a treatment whether or not we have filtered it.
As you become more familiar and comfortable with the use of this module you will find that the Info Manager is actually quite simple to use.
Columns act as search criteria, which can then be easily filtered by left clicking on the column name.
We will explore these editing options in much greater detail next, along with a detailed discussion on how to add or remove column selections.
