Creating Labels using the Info Manager is actually rather simple. In this lesson, we will create general purpose Patient Labels.
Given that the details of this report will be focused on patient information, it would be best to work in the Patient Tab and Category; as an added bonus, most of our selections will have already been made for us.

This lesson also requires a Label printer and the requisite blank label paper.
Setup:
If you have not closed the Info Manager module since completing the previous lessons and examples, you should do so now. This will ensure your default categories are reset to their defaults, instead of remembering your custom selections and filters from previous lessons.
Once you’ve restarted the Info Manager module, begin by choosing the appropriate tab and column filters; our report should only include Active patients.
Our report will now only include Active status patients. If you wish to be extra thorough, you can use the Pat Last Visit field to filter out patients who have not visited the practice in a given number of years. E.g. add a Last Visit field, use the “between” filter and set values 1 and 2 appropriately, 01/01/2017 – Current Date.
Generating and Extracting the Report:
Given that the Patient report defaults already include all of the relevant address information, we can simply generate our results and export them. The selected box already includes the patient names, addresses, postal codes etc. as you can see from the active columns. If you need any extra fields or wish to remove unnecessary ones, you can right click and edit the report to remove them from the Selected box.
At this point, Microsoft Word should launch. You will find it on the computer taskbar (typically at the bottom of the screen). It will not popup automatically, so check the taskbar for the Microsoft Word icon.
Creating Labels:
If your label printer requires a different size, you can choose the appropriate item instead of the 5160 labels. If you cannot find the label you are looking for, try changing the Label Vendor; you can also change the Page Printer settings if you still cannot find the label style you need.
Your document should immediately draw a faint gridline on the blank page, as seen in the image below. If you cannot see the grid outlines in Microsoft Word after the steps above, find the Layout tab near the top of Microsoft Word and select View Gridlines
Finalizing Labels:
We can now insert the appropriate fields into the document. A mailing label will need the patient’s name and address information included.
Use the Insert Merge Field button near the top left of Microsoft Word to add your desired items to the first box of the grid.
Keep your spacing in mind when selecting your options. Use commas and spaces where appropriate, you can also use Enter/Return to avoid piling on too many fields in one line.

Preview and Print:
Once you have completed the first Label box setup you can share that setting to the rest.
